"Escrima" (also known as Arnis and Kali) is the Martial Art of the Philippines. It is a weapons based fighting form that emphasizes power, flow, efficiency, and function. Our Classes are designed to teach the student an effective form of self defense in a short amount of time. Experts in armed and unarmed fighting methods, we place self defense skill and personal ability above all else. Our goal is to help our members grow & evolve positively through the art & training method. That is our Mission, its why we are here.

We are constantly on the move sharing the art, teaching at guest locations, and participating in community events. Call or text for the latest class times, workshops, or cancellations.

More than Escrima...

The Stockton Escrima Club is a project created for personal growth and exploration as well as a place to remember and honor our instructors. We teach ideas, concepts, and techniques passed to us from Escrima Grandmaster Leo M. Giron as well as many other noteable Escrima practicioners. Thanks to generous contributions from my father Glenn C. Abrescy Sr. (Kemscrima Doh) and longtime friend Sensei Eric Shingu (Karate/Brazilian Jiu Jitsu), we offer techniques and insights from their arts.
