By popular demand we will be forming a Kids Mixed Martial Arts Class for ages 6 & up. Both Girls and Boys encouraged. No experience necessary. Thursdays 4-5 pm. Check back with us for class updates. More details to follow...

We do not promise miracles, but over the years we have had repeated success working with kids who needed just a little more encouragement. Watching our kids become strong, well rounded, confident young adults has been the most rewarding part of our journey.

We had a great time training with Guro JC and his Kali Method Seminar. Now I have been to many workshops and seminars over the years and the quality of numerous grand masters & guros, has been sub-standard. So much in fact, that I have given up on attending seminars all together. 

Guro JC and Guro Nim have restored my faith in the future of the Filipino Fighting Arts. Although I have seen or trained in the arts and methods presented, JC has taken ownership for his teachings, in a sense has breathed new life into old traditions. In the 4 short hours we covered breathing, philosophy, knife concepts (standing), retentions, disarms, distance, timing, & sparring... then we took it to the ground.

Escrima - Light Sparring

Filmed during a recent visit to East Wind Martial Arts in Merced. 

More than "just for competition," Contact Sparring is a fun and safe method of training used to develop power, timing, fighting spirit, and most of all respect for your training partner. Students also learn how lessons are applied in "real time" against an uncooperative training partner. 

We invite other schools and individuals to learn more about this and other types of training offered at our schools in Merced and Stockton, Ca.
